Playtesting

We playtested the game with multiple people to see if it works. We also playtested the colouring kakapo idea.

We found that the game was far too easy to play. We also had some implications, such as people's kakapo all ending up on the same space, and not enough resources were being spent. So we changed some rules to make it more difficult:

Rangers go first instead of kakapo (so that they cannot immediately respond to kakapo threats)
We divided the board up into more spaces and made every blank space a new random chance spot (lose lives, gain lives, etc). This applies to both the kakapo and ranger board.

It worked out a bit better but more improvements can be made, such as ranger roles, team vs. team,
vary the amount of lives, change the death narrative to something less dark, or even be able to control multiple kakapo.
