Since the last models were so crappy I went to a model shop (Games Workshop) and asked for some advice. They told me that acrylic spraypaint is intended for 2D surfaces only due to its high viscosity. They told me I should be using model paints as those are designed for 3D surfaces and will be a lot easier for me to use due to my inexperience with paint. So I bought some paint!
I never painted anything 3D before so I gave it a try with the large kakapo I printed earlier. They were so much more easier to use and a lot more fun too! Sure it's a bit more time consuming but I can do this while watching TV, haha.
The paint has a smoother finish and looks very professional. Hand painting it is.
